Basic meatloaf

Basic meatloaf

 

This recipe serves 6. It contains low-sodium or no-salt brand name products that can be found in most grocery stores.

 

Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef
1 cup Cracker Meal®
2 large eggs
2/3 cup ketchup (no salt added), divided
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Vegit® (low-salt seasoning)

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Use a non-stick cooking spray to coat the pan.
  3. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, except for 1/3 cup ketchup.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Place on a baking pan and shape into a loaf.
  6. Spread the remaining 1/3 cup ketchup over the top.
  7. Bake for 1 hour or until done.
