Fat-free toasted tortilla chips

Makes 4 servings, 12 chips per serving.

 

Ingredients

4 six-inch fat-free flour tortillas
juice of a large fresh lime, strained
chili powder or cayenne pepper, to taste

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges.
  3. Pour lime juice into a clean spray bottle kept exclusively for this use.
  4. Lightly mist each tortilla triangle with the juice.
  5. Sprinkle lightly with chili powder or cayenne pepper.
  6. Place close together in a singer layer on a large baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until chips are crisp.
  8. Serve warm with Santa Fe hot bean dip.
