Poached Pears A healthy dessert that is elegant - perfect for entertaining. Serving: 4 Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes Total Time: 35 minutes 4 Bosc pears 2 cup cranberry juice 3/4 cup sugar dash lemon juice 1. Simmer fruit juice, sugar and lemon juice in a heavy saucepan. 2. Peel and core the pears. 3. Cut into slices. 4. Place sliced pears into the poaching liquid. 5. Simmer uncovered over low heat for approximately 20 minutes, or until tender. 6. You can either cool in the refrigerator and serve cold, or serve warm with a sprinkle of cinnamon or scoop of vanilla frozen yogurt. Based on individual serving.
